Red, green and gold are traditional Christmas colors, but I also love blush pink and silver for the holidays. I have made two fashions using the softer colors of the season; pale pink, silver and cream.
The first fashion is a suit made from cream silk tussah with silver threads woven throughout. Sparkling Swarovski crystal buttons pick up the silver thread and a breath of pink adds color with the bow belt.
The sparkling sugar sheath dress is blush pink silk taffeta overlaid with champagne lace shot with silver. A large pink silk bow and Swarovski crystal brooch add bling to the shoulder.

Few printed fabrics are more whimsical than those made in Japan. This one is particularly charming and is the highlight of this coat ensemble modeled by Victoire. Small woodland creatures decorate for Christmas, bearing gifts, lighting candles and catching golden snowflakes, creating a fantasy scene that is sure to capture your imagination and warm your heart.

Two new holiday cocktail dresses in sparkling metallic brocade. Peppermint is in a red and silvery white brocade with a red sparkle net overskirt and red beads at the shoulders. Wintergreen is a sophisticated dark green brocade with dark red and silver accents. Red beads decorate the shoulders and a pleated silk cummerbund with bow detail highlights the waist.

One of the most iconic photos known to lovers of vintage fashion is this one, taken by Cecil Beaton, of the Dior house models wearing Dior’s 1957 Spring/Summer collection. Silkstone Barbie fans will recognize the style of the green bubble dress in the foreground as the inspiration for the Mattel fashion “Blush Becomes Her.”
Upon seeing the fashion in green, I knew that this would be a perfect dress to add to my holiday collection. Here, the Roux sisters model the gown in dark red silk taffeta and dark green iridescent silk dupioni. I have made the gown slightly shorter to give it a youthful and modern edge, but otherwise all details are the same. The voluminous balloon skirt is gathered up the front and trimmed with a silk band and bow at the waistline. The off-the-shoulder sleeves are delicately tucked.
A large black flower hat and ruby Swarovski crystal cocktail ring complete this classic holiday look.
