When I was about 16 years old, I fell in love with a Jessica McClintock prom dress that I saw in Seventeen Magazine.  You remember those ads in Seventeen, right?  The prom issue was always my favorite.  I lived in a small town and dresses like this were not easy to find.  So I made one just like it.  Here it is and here I am wearing it.

Last week I posted this picture on Facebook and got a lot of appreciation, including pleas to make it for the dolls.  So I did.  And here it is.

The dress is made of black silk dupioni with 3 layers of black tulle as an underskirt.  The sweetheart bodice is slit to the waist and two black silk bows bridge the gap, resulting in an alluring peekaboo effect.

I hope you enjoy!

If you would like to order this dress for your dolls, please email me.

$85.00 Edition of 5 (Sold Out)

Moss Rose

I have an unspoken rule in my house; if I get a new doll, she gets a new outfit.  I only collect Silkstones and Victoire, so it doesn’t happen often anymore.  The beautiful Evening in Montreal Victoire arrived yesterday and I was really excited to look through my fabrics to make her the perfect outfit.  I chose this striking Liberty of London print in navy blue with richly colored flowers in teal blue, dark red, gold, and green.  I chose this fabric because the teal blue matches her eyes and the dark red matches her lipstick.  I wanted a simple style to complement the busy pattern, but added drama at the neck with a dark red silk rolled collar and bow.

If you are interested in owning this fashion, please send me an email.

Paris au Printemps

Welcome to Paris au Printemps!

If you would like to order any of the following fashions, please email me with the name of the fashion.  Please note that the name and description of the fashion is above each photo, not below.  You may wish to include a second choice, as the editions are extremely limited.

Fashions are modeled on various body types, but can usually be made for the body type you desire.  Please specify the body type of your choice in your emails.

Orders are taken in the order in which they are received.  Typically, this is a very busy time, so there may be a delay in my response.  I appreciate your patience.  In order to accommodate as many people who want fashions as possible, the turn around time can be anywhere from one week to 6 weeks.  Every fashion is meticulously handmade and hand finished and this kind of work takes time.  I appreciate your understanding.

Enjoy the collection!

And now, I am so excited to introduce you to the exquisite Maria Antonia Josepha Johanna, the work of the incroyable Matt Sutton (Matt’s beautiful creations can be purchased here).  Thank you, Matt, for creating this heavenly creature.

This collection is dedicated to her and to the beautiful city of Paris.

Madame Royale

A blush pink silk gown, Madame Royale has the typical square neckline of the Rococo Period.  The front panel of the bodice is overlaid with cream and gold lace.  Three bows accent the lace panel.  The full skirt billows out from the small waist, made full with a net petticoat.

Meadow Bubble Dress

Marie Antoinette loved to visit the Petit Trianon when she needed to escape from court life at the Palace of Versailles.  There, she dressed more casually and spent time in the meadows.  This bubble dress, made from a Liberty of London print called Meadow, is scattered with lavender clover blossoms.  A low, square neckline is trimmed with delicate white lace and a silk ribbon bow.  I bought this fabric 20 years ago in Canterbury, England and have never used it until now.

La Trompette

These flirtatious day dresses are made from two adorable cotton fabrics.  Each features a ruched V-neck and ruffled hemline with a bow detail.  Either pale pink rose pattern or black lace and rose pattern.

Chantilly Sheaths

Chantilly means whipped cream in French and the frothy treatment at the necklines of these sheaths reminds me of something sweet, light and airy.  The black sheath is made from figured black silk with black chiffon rosette trim around the neck.  The raspberry pink dress is trimmed with white chiffon roses.  Each neckline sparkles with hand sewn beads and crystals.

The heavenly black and white shoes with bows are the work of Ann Grahek and can be ordered here.

Bouclé and Organza Sheaths

Inspired by Chanel, these stylish little sheaths are made from pale blue and pale pink bouclé.  Each features a rolled collar in white organza and a white silk band belt and classic Camellia at the waist.

La Volière Coat Ensemble

A classic swing coat ensemble in a Tilda print cotton.  The fabric’s ground is blue, with a motif in sea glass green.  The pattern is of delicate tree branches, on which perch songbirds, who have escaped their nearby cages.  Pale aqua pearl buttons decorate the front and a tiny gold brooch of a bird in flight decorates the collar.  The coat is fully lined in Tiffany blue silk dupioni.  The slim, boat necked sheath dress is in the same print as the coat.  A silk ribbon rosette with sparkling beads acts as a brooch.

These chic bejeweled slides are the work of Ann Grahek and can be ordered here.

Damask Coat Ensemble

This rose pink and cream damask fabric has been a passion of mine for several years, but I have been saving it for this particular collection.  I am just in love with it.  The shawl collared coat with front pleats, pale pink pearl buttons and tiny bows is so feminine.  The coat is fully lined in dark rose silk.  A simple evening sheath in shell pink silk taffeta sports a dark rose silk sash.  A blush pink flower hat is the grand finale.

La Dauphine

Another gown for the queen, this time in a dreamy sea foam green French silk brocade woven with cream feathers and flowers.  The strapless sweetheart bodice is trimmed with a double tulle ruffle with tiny sparkling beads and an aqua silk ribbon bow.  The skirt is made full by the tulle petticoat beneath.  A tulle and silk ribbon necklace with lavender crystal drop included.
