We just got a foot of snow here in Maine, so I’m ready for Spring, which has me reaching for the fresh, colorful fabrics in my collection. This fabric is like a painting that has gotten wet; the colors are hazy and soft like a spring meadow in the rain. The bodice has an off the shoulder silhouette and ruched bust. The full skirt is given additional volume from layers of spring green tulle. A sunny yellow silk bow decorates the bust. Included is a beautifully detailed pot of delicate daffodils.

A striking print from Liberty of London. Betsy is one of their most popular prints, done here “en grisaille” meaning something is rendered entirely in shades of grey, which is the case here apart from pops of brilliant yellow. The hostess gown has a boat necked bodice and floor length skirt that opens on one side revealing brilliant yellow silk capri pants. A matching, hand fringed sash adds color at the waist.
