Elise is ready for some tea for two in this charming print from Liberty of London’s Pictures and Conversations collection inspired by Alice in Wonderland and celebrating the 150th anniversary of the book’s publication.  The fabric depicts whimsical teapots, teacups, and other accessories on a dark pink ground.  Additional colors include white, purple, gold, and orange.  The off the shoulder, dropped waist bodice has a ruched bust embroidered with tiny pink and orange beads.  A large bow in iridescent orange silk woven with dark pink sits on the hip of the voluminous bubble skirt.

This print was created in honor of the birth of Prince George, son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.  To me, it evokes a summer evening as the sun is fading, but everything retains the warmth of the day and smells amazing.  The print is a tiny floral of wild roses and ripe summer raspberries in the colors of pink, mango, cream, and sage.  The bodice has a V neck decorated with a silk band and bow detail in iridescent mango silk.  The full skirt has an underskirt of golden yellow tulle.

Poppy is ready for Spring in this lime green pique swing coat and vibrant Liberty print.  The classic coat is made from lime green cotton pique.  Pearls serve as buttons and a turquoise blue enamel daisy brooch sparkles on the collar.  The coat is fully lined in the Liberty print. The accompanying party dress is made from the print with layers of coral tulle for fullness in the skirt.

A fun and conversational print, the Forget-Me-Nots fabric design displays the contents of a modern Liberty lady’s handbag, including Liberty print address books and diaries as well as the daily essentials. It represents Liberty’s beautiful Handbag Room on the Ground Floor.  The colors include lime green, coral pink, turquoise, and lemon yellow.

Few colors evoke the freshness of spring like yellow and white.  Here in the Pacific Northwest, the daffodils and forsythia are in full bloom, so yellow is everywhere.  This coat ensemble combines white eyelet with bright yellow silk taffeta.  The classic swing coat is made from white cotton eyelet lined with bright yellow that shines through the holes of the eyelet.  Pearls serve as buttons and a diamante daisy brooch with a yellow center sparkles on the collar.  The accompanying dress has a white eyelet bodice lined with yellow.  The full skirt is made from crisp yellow silk taffeta.  Pearl shimmer tulle gives the skirt extra volume.

Poppy models this elegant party dress in black silk and tulle embroidered with turquoise and aqua.  The strapless, dropped waist bodice is made from black silk.  A narrow band of turquoise silk with a silver and crystal buckle defines the waist.  The full skirt is made of black tulle lace embroidered with flowers in shades of turquoise.  Layers of black tulle give the skirt fullness and a hint of sheerness.

A stunning miniature floral print, Phoebe was inspired by print impressions found at Liberty’s Merton print works.  The Phoebe fabric design was first printed as a scarf in 1966 and has been used in Classic Tana Lawn since 2002.  Shades of pink ranging from mauve to nearly red appear in the print.  The bodice is off the shoulder with a V neck.  A narrow band of raspberry pink silk sits mid waist with a bow as accent.

The skirt is given fullness with layers of raspberry pink tulle.
