I recently found this favorite fabric of mine in a blue colorway, and so am offering a color variation of the Purse Addict fashion that I made a few weeks ago. I picked up the two purple shades in the fabric for the lining of the coat and for the accompanying party dress. The shawl collared coat sports aqua pearl buttons and a lilac silk dupioni lining. The party dress is in orchid silk taffeta with a French blue tulle underskirt. A lilac silk dupioni sash and bow defines the waistline.
The fabulous purses are the work of La Boutique and are not for sale.
This fashion fits Victoire Roux, Silkstone Barbie, and FR2 dolls.
A delicate French damask pattern on cream makes up this elegant coat ensemble. The coat has a shawl collar, decorated with a Swarovski crystal brooch. Rose pearl buttons mark the front of the coat, which is fully lined in French blue taffeta. A rose silk party dress with rose tulle underskirt is the perfect accompaniment.

The accompanying party dress is made from dark green silk woven with red, resulting in a beautiful iridescent sheen. A cranberry red shimmer tulle underskirt peeks out at the hem.

One of my favorite prints, this Asian cotton features a sophisticated combination of chocolate brown, kingfisher blue, turquoise, and olive green, touched with gold. The shawl collared coat is fully lined in kingfisher blue woven with coppery brown, for a delightful iridescent finish. Copper hued faceted buttons decorate the front. A full skirted party dress in chocolate brown silk taffeta has a wide band of kingfisher blue silk at the waist. Turquoise tulle peeks out at the hem.

A lovely print in shades of turquoise and aqua, touched with gold, makes up this coat fashion. The swing coat is fully lined in Tiffany Blue silk dupioni. Turquoise pearl buttons decorate the front. A gold crown brooch (removable) adds sparkle to the collar. The sheath dress has a Tiffany Blue silk bodice with a ruched bust. The turquoise print makes up the skirt. A dark turquoise belt defines the waist.

I also submitted a design in the advanced design competition at this year’s Integrity Toys convention. The challenge was to design a fashion inspired by the early 1960s. I chose the year 1962. The silhouette in evening wear at the time was high waisted, with a bell shaped skirt. Sparkle brocade was popular, as were large bows with fringe. The boat-necked bodice is made from aqua and silver brocade. The bell skirt is made from aqua silk woven with silver. A bow in the same fabric decorates the high waist. The auction includes the gown and the diamante bow hair ornament.
I am offering this fashion via silent auction. Please submit your bids to my email before 8 pm West Coast time, Sunday, November 8. hildaewestervelt@gmail.com
