A spring suit in Liberty of London print “Claire.” The ensemble is made up of a sheath in a floral print of pale yellow, leaf green and rose, and a cropped jacket in leaf green silk shambala (a blend of silk tussah, noil and jitta). The jacket is fully lined in the Claire floral and sports a rounded collar, pearl buttons and a gold bow brooch on the collar. The sheath has a ruched cummerbund in pale yellow silk taffeta.

Yesterday I took three of my favorite new cotton fabrics and made some pretty springtime dresses. They are shown on Silkstones, but will also fit Victoire and most other 12 inch dolls. There is only one of each dress. I will not be taking orders.
Juliet: Aqua cotton with a pearl finish. The pattern is of roses and birds. The deep aqua silk sash and drape complement the pale aqua of the print. The ruched neckline is finished with a cluster of pearls and seed beads.

Tuileries: A rosy cream background with a delicate floral pattern in darker pink is punctuated with rose topiaries. I love this Tilda fabric, imported from Norway, via England. A dark rose silk bow demarcates the bust and a Swarovski crystal brooch adds sparkle to the shoulder.

Hello My Friends,
First of all, I want to tell you how much I value all of you for your support. When I lost my job a few years ago, I was able to turn to my sewing to make a living. You are the reason that I was able to do that, and I am so grateful. Over the last year, however, I have overextended myself and gotten very bogged down in making multiples of the same fashion.
I am changing my way of doing things from here on out. Up to this point, I have taken orders for multiples of a fashion. But from now on I am going to limit each fashion to one. That means that I will be able to offer fashions with more frequency and variety. It also means that you will not have to wait for your fashions to be made. The first person to pay for the fashion will have it shipped to him/her the next day. If there is a lot of interest in a fashion, I will consider making it again at a later time and would be happy to add your name to a list.
Those of you who have placed orders already, no worries. They will be completed and shipped in the next few weeks.

Although many of you feel like Winter will never end, today is the first day of Spring. I came across this beautiful cotton in my fabric stash today. It is a pale blush pink with a pearly finish. Roses bloom luxuriously and swallows flit in and out of the flowers, thinking of nest building, no doubt. A blush pink silk sash and oversized bow mark the waist. The neckline is ruched and stitched with various sizes and colors of pearls. Feminine and pretty.

A gal on the go can never have too many sheath sets, especially in vibrant colors and prints. This vivid Liberty of London print “Picardie” was part of the spring 2012 line and was inspired by the film “A Clockwork Orange.” A pleated cummerbund in teal blue silk picks up the teal in the print.
