Another favorite brocade from my stash, this one is hot pink woven with gold, resulting in an overall warm, golden shimmer.  The fabric, which is pure silk brocade from India, is woven with a pattern of paisley and leaves.  The form-fitting strapless sheath dress has a sweetheart neckline.  The matching bolero jacket has a richly beaded neckline in alternating stripes of rose pink and gold beads.

A lovely party dress with a delicate net skirt in rosy blush pink with cream and rose embroidery.  The dropped waist, off the shoulder bodice in blush pink silk has a ruched bust embroidered with tiny pearls.  A lighter pink silk bow belt defines the waist.

An unusual but striking combination of colors makes up this cocktail ensemble.  The fabric is a silk brocade of green vines twining on a wine colored background.  The two colors woven together create a beautiful iridescent shimmer.  The strapless sheath is decorated with an oversized bow at the hip in burgundy metallic silk organza.  The cropped bolero jacket is made from the reverse of the sheath fabric and is fully lined in bottle green silk.  A richly beaded collar at the neckline adds sparkle.  A lovely ensemble for wine season!

As summer turns to fall, shades of copper and gold become more prominent in the landscape.  This always inspires me to reach for these colors when I am designing.  This sheath and jacket set is made from a beautiful silk brocade in these colors.  The sheath has a coppery brown silk sash and bow with fringed edges.  A bolero jacket with a collar of gold beads adds sparkle.

Silk tussah* in neutral tones of cream, beige, and navy makes up this classic suit with a nipped in waist and peplum.  A navy blue silk taffeta bow belt defines the waist and an Eiffel Tower brooch decorates the collar.  A navy silk bow hat is the finishing touch.

*Silk tussah is made from the fiber produced by wild silk worms and has a wonderful nubby texture.  It is naturally slubbed and may have irregular pieces.  These irregularities are part of the fabric’s natural beauty and should not be considered flaws.

One of my favorite Liberty prints, this colorway of Wiltshire is especially lovely for Autumn in shades of coral, olive, and magenta on a dark ground.  The sheath dress has a pleated cummerbund in a striking iridescent silk of clementine woven with dark purple.  A cropped, boxy jacket with a round collar is made from magenta silk noil, fully lined in the Wiltshire print.  A coppery purple faceted bead defines the neckline.

This suit is made from a stunning silk brocade in aubergine woven with tiny bronze flowers, giving the fabric a beautiful shimmer.  The slim sheath dress has a pleated cummerbund in bronze silk.  The cropped jacket is fully lined in the bronze silk.  A vintage topaz colored brooch decorates the collar and a bronzed faceted bead button adorns the neck fastening.

The classic Peggy Olson dress from my Mad Men collection is a favorite of mine, and the perfect style for this vintage Liberty of London wool challis.  Victoire models this charming floral print in shades of marine blue, coral, rust, and olive green on a cream ground.  The classic wiggle dress has elbow length sleeves and a shawl collar.  A marine blue silk satin band and bow decorates the waist while a turquoise blue brooch adds sparkle to the collar.

A simple sheath in a very special fabric, an iridescent silk faille.  The shimmer effect is achieved by weaving French blue with vibrant pink, resulting in a glorious color.  I wanted to draw out the pink hue, so added a pleated cummerbund in deep pink and hand beaded a collar of pink beads in various shades.
