As the weather grows colder, our thoughts turn to the Holidays, especially here in the Bellissima Couture workroom. The strapless, dropped waist bodice is made from ice blue silk taffeta. A band and bow defines the top of the bodice and is repeated at the waist with a bow belt. The full skirt is made from snow white tulle lace embroidered with snowflakes in shades of blue. Multiple layers of silver sparkle tulle give the skirt fullness and shine.

Poppy is the epitome of chic in this classic sheath in black silk crepe. The neckline is richly beaded with pearls, silver beads, and crystals. A quilted black leather clutch (does not open) with crystal Chanel logo is a stylish accessory.

A new print from Liberty of London’s Winter 2015 line, this fabric called Donna Leigh is scattered with wild flowers and fruits on a navy blue ground. Blackberries and raspberries are the inspiration, with shades of purple, navy, and dark pink. The off the shoulder, dropped waist bodice has a gathered bust embroidered with dark purple beads. An iridescent purple silk bow belt defines the waist.

Blush Beauty had to wait patiently for me to create her debut gown, but she is in the spotlight at last. She models a tea length gown in shades of pale pink, rose, soft green, and pearl. The strapless, dropped waist bodice is made from pale pink silk, with a band and bow detail at the top. The ethereal skirt is cream tulle embroidered with large pink roses, pale green leaves, and tiny cream daisies. The center of each daisy has a hand beaded pearl. Eight layers of pale pink and shimmering pearl tulle give dramatic fullness to the skirt.
