One of my favorite flowers, sweet peas, grace this striking Liberty of London fabric.  The delicate flowers are in shades of rose pink and French blue on an inky dark background.  The close fitting, dropped waist strapless bodice expands into a voluminous skirt given additional fullness from layers of French blue shimmer tulle.  The bodice is trimmed with a band and bow of French blue silk.  The fashion includes this exquisite handmade sweet pea plant in a terracotta pot.

Another fashion in the Spring series, this gown is made from Liberty of London in Strawberry Fields.  The fabric is a light, silky cotton lawn and features wild strawberries, just beginning to ripen and grow sweet in the strengthening sun.  The strapless bodice has a dropped, fitted waist and voluminous skirt given extra fullness from layers of white tulle.  A dark red silk band and bow detail stretches under the bust.  Also included, this beautifully detailed strawberry plant in a terracotta pot.

The perfect fabric for Spring, from Moda’s Alice in Wonderland collection.  The fabric is a silky cotton lawn in bright spring green with beautiful flowers in shades of pink, purple and yellow.  The skirt of the play dress is slightly shorter than usual and features layers of purple tulle that peek out from the hemline.  A belt in the same fabric with a yellow enamel buckle adds interest to the waist.  Included with the dress is this exquisite pink hyacinth bulb in a clay pot.

This sheath suit is the first in a series of fashions that I will be making over the next few weeks in honor of Spring.  This suit consists of a body conscious strapless sheath dress and short bolero jacket with bracelet length sleeves.  The fabric is a pale silvery grey silk brocade with flowers woven in lavender and pale yellow.  The sheath has a pale yellow silk band and bow detail at the bodice.  The jacket sports vintage pearl cabochon buttons.  Both the sheath and jacket are lined in cream silk.

A stylish little dress in a sassy, shorter length for Spring.  The fabric is an airy light cotton lawn depicting colorful bows and the occasional butterfly on a navy blue ground.  The skirt is several inches shorter and has an exposed crinoline of red tulle peeking out from the hem.  The boat necked bodice has a red scalloped edge at the neckline and a red grosgrain D-ring belt for a preppy finishing touch.

A fun and conversational print in shades of lime, coral, yellow, and blue on white, the Forget-Me-Nots fabric design displays the contents of a modern young London woman’s handbag, including address books and diaries in iconic Liberty prints as well as such daily essentials as makeup, keys, ear buds, I Phone, hair bands, and glasses.  The dress is a few inches shorter than the traditional below the knee length, adding to the playfulness of the print.  Four layers of lime green tulle peek out from the hemline.  Two lime green buttons trim the bodice.  A D-ring belt in coral and lime green grosgrain ribbon is a preppy, fun finishing touch.
