Another print from Swedish textile company Tilda, this charming fabric depicts rose topiaries on a cream ground scattered with flowers.  The shawl collared coat is fully lined in pale pink silk.  Rose pearl buttons decorate the front and a Swarovski crystal brooch sparkles on the collar.  The coordinating strapless sheath is made from cream silk eyelet, fully lined in pale pink silk.  A wide band and bow in pink silk decorates the top of the bodice.  A large floral picture hat is the finishing touch.

The symbol of a bluebird as the harbinger of happiness is found in many cultures and may date back thousands of years.  This Tilda print from Swedish textile designer Tone Finnanger depicts blue birds perched in stylized trees blooming with pink and blue flowers.  The bodice is off the shoulder with a V neck.  A band at the waist and large bow on the hip are made of aqua silk.

Lodden, one of the great arts & crafts textile designs of the past, was originally designed by William Morris in 1884, but was made into Liberty’s own design by re-scaling and re-coloring.  This colorway is in shades of orchid, grey, pale pink, rose, and yellow.  The off the shoulder, dropped waist bodice is gathered at the bust and decorated with beads and pearls in pastel shades.  A silk bow belt in orchid silk defines the waist.  The voluminous bubble skirt is as light as a souffle.

An ethereal ball gown in French blue glazed tulle, inspired by a gown from Paolo Sebastian’s 2015 couture collection.

  The fabric is very special and very difficult to find.  It is a true couture cotton tulle with tiny hexagonal openings that has been glazed, giving it a pearly finish and an exquisite hand.  The gown has three tiers, each a double layer of tulle that has been distressed on the edges, giving it a shredded appearance.  The bodice is covered in tiny florets of tulle, each with a tiny silver bead in the center.  Navy blue velvet ribbon serves as straps and wraps around the bodice, tying in a bow in the front.
