Coat Ensemble in Juno’s Garden

Posted on

Juno’s Garden is based on a scarf print from the 1940s that was printed at Liberty’s Merton print works. This timeless print features regal peacocks and butterflies mingling on a bed of florals in vivid shades of red, gold, orange, blue.  In Roman mythology, the peacock was the symbol Juno, queen of the gods and consort of Jupiter.

The classic swing coat is made from red silk noil and is fully lined in the peacock print.  Dark red pearls serve as buttons and a navy blue enamel daisy brooch sparkles on the collar.  The accompanying dress is made from the peacock print.  Bright yellow tulle gives fullness to the skirt.

The fashion fits Silkstone Barbie, Victoire Roux, and FR2 dolls
