Party Dress in Liberty of London Thorpe

Posted on

Thorpe is one of Liberty of London’s iconic prints and was drawn up by the Hayward studio in 1968. The dense small floral design is reminiscent of Liberty’s 1930s floral prints and a mixture of these will have provided the inspiration for Thorpe.  It comes in a variety of colorways, including this one that features many shades of blue, grey, green, and red.  The dress features a fitted, boat necked bodice and full skirt, given volume from layers of dark red tulle.  A red silk belt with gold and crystal buckle defines the waist.  A classic vintage bow hat is an elegant finishing touch for this charming vintage ensemble.

This fashion will fit most 1/6 scale fashion dolls.
