Maneki-Neko Coat Ensemble

A ubiquitous presence in Asian businesses, the Maneki-Neko, “beckoning cat,”brings luck. This Japanese symbol first appeared in the 19th century. The fabric used in this fashion is a textured cotton from Japan in brick red with black and cream cats. The coat has a Nehru collar, is fully lined in black silk and has black faceted glass buttons.

The accompanying sheath dress has the brick cotton as the skirt and black silk for the bodice. A black silk knotted belt defines the waist.

This fashion fits most 1/6 scale dolls
