Dior’s Bar Suit was first produced in 1947, in the years after the war. It used an extraordinary amount of fabric for post war Paris, was a tremendous hit, and set the fashion for years to follow.
This version has a suit jacket in shimmering micro ribbed silk in taupe. Black crystal buttons decorate the front. A pleated black tulle skirt with 8 layers of black tulle offers a veiled glimpse of upper leg, something Dior would never have allowed!
