One of the things that I am enjoying most about making one of a kinds is that I can use favorite scraps of fabric that are too small for more than a sheath. This particular piece of beautiful lemon colored silk is very special. It has pin tucks in a diamond pattern overall, and then yellow embroidered flowers over the pin tucks. This gives the fabric a beautiful texture. To make it even more special, I embroidered pearls in the centers of the flowers. There is only one. Perfect for Easter!

Yes, it is! I was thinking of you when I made this one.
Very nice, Hilda!! Yes, that is the reason why I like to make OOAK, too. I have oodles of scrap fabrics left from the past 30+ yrs. of sewing for myself, my daughter and then my granddaughters. I also like to browse Ebay for inexpensive scraps and fat quarters. I love the Peace silk fq available from Fabric Treasury (on Etsy). What color is next? 🙂
Hilda this is just gorgeous 🙂
