Chotronette is a design duo comprised of Silvia Chiteala and Laura Cazacu, based in Iasi, Romania. Their designs are utterly romantic, featuring tulle, flowers, and lace.
I have been wanting to make one of these gowns for some time. As always, this is only my interpretation of and homage to the original styles.
Dozens of flowers and leaves are encased in layers of tulle. The flowers are in shades of purple and lavender, with green ivy and other foliage. The bodice is princess seamed white silk overlaid with flowers and then covered in tulle. A hand painted silk ribbon ties at the waist with trailing ribbons. This is the first version of a dress that will have many variations in color. Each dress is a one of a kind. I may use these colors again, but their arrangement and placement will always be unique.
This prototype fashion is snug in the bust and fits Nu Face and Poppy Parker Dolls
Love, love, love this!!
So happy you like this one. I have so many colors planned.
Utterly Fabulous!xo
Thank you, my love! So pleased you like it.
Sublime, I knew you were going to do up this style, I saw it posted and was thinking this is sooo Hilda. Your version is amazing, the lush colors and styling are perfect!!!
Thank you so much, Brenda. This was so much fun and very cathartic to work on. I am excited to try other colors and branch out a bit. I like to do a close reference first, then make it more my own. We shall see how it develops as a style.
Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you so much, Jackie. This was a fun dress to make and I have plans to make it in other colors.
Stunningly beautiful. Amazing. love the flowers in the tulle
Thank you so much! So pleased you like it.
OMG!!! Adore this!!!
Thanks, Lori! I will be making more of these in the days to come.
Hi Hilda:
Just saw your posting and so glad your doing this as I always miss as I’m not on computer all the time or does it tell me I have a message or e-mail. So by the time I’m on it, its gone.
This is the dress I loved the most and it was your first one! I love everything about it, the color, the bodice, the length, etc. I see its not included in your pictures of the others, so if you can’t do this one, I would like the darker pink one in the lower right-hand corner – the last one you posted in the group of 6. No problem if I’m on wait list.
So very, very sorry to hear about your beautiful mom. What a treasure; so talented and you’ve gotten the “excellent” genes with being so creative and a wonderful human being. Love you to death and proud to call you my friend.
Take care and wishing you the best always,
Kathy

Kathy, thank you so much for your lovely note. I will see what I can do about making a dress similar to the first one. I am not sure I have enough flowers in the right colors, but I will check. Much love to you xoxo
