When we first moved to Oregon we met our neighbor’s black cat Frasier. He took an immediate liking to us and would accompany us on all our walks, keeping pace in a stately fashion. Soon, he started spending all his time at our house. A few years ago, Frasier disappeared, no doubt a victim of coyotes, but I miss him every day. He is one of the best creatures I have had the privilege to know. I like to imagine him in a beautiful garden with lots going on and grass and flowers for hiding. This fabric depicts all those things, including chickens and a greenhouse.
The dress has a boat necked bodice. Navy blue grosgrain bows decorate the shoulders and an enamel daisy brooch shines. The full skirt has layers of pale yellow tulle.
Also included is a pot of sweet peas that climb a small wooden trellis. Beautifully made by hand (not by me).
