Classic Wiggle Dress in Remembrance Day Poppies

Posted on

The poppy has been used since 1921 to commemorate military personnel who have died in war, and represents a common or field poppy, Papaver rhoeas. Use of the poppy for remembrance was inspired by the World War I poem “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae.

This classic wiggle dress is in a striking, impressionistic print of poppies in reddish orange and coral pink with black centers.  The black is picked up in the beaded neckline where black bugle beads alternate with tiny beads made from coral.

This fashion fits Silkstone Barbie (Classic and Articulated), Victoire Roux, Vintage Barbie and other 1/6 scale fashion dolls.
