The 14th gown in a series honoring my mother Nancy and her love of flowers. One of my mother’s favorite flowers was the sweet pea, a lovely, delicate flower with a heavenly fragrance. The gown has a strapless bodice with a peplum silhouette in celadon green silk taffeta. The skirt has 8 layers of tulle, alternating celadon and pale pink to create a subtle gradation of color. The sweet peas are front and center, in white touched with pale green and a whisper of rose pink on the edges. Pink roses are scattered around them. A scattering of rose and pale green Swarovski crystals add a touch of sparkle. A hand painted rose pink silk ribbon is tied at the waist.
